Discover moreSince 2013, Marine Platforms has provided continuous inspection, maintenance and repair support on the Bonga Field in water depths of 1,000–1,200 m. Across more than a decade, the team has completed hundreds of subsea interventions, installations, inspections and maintenance activities, supporting asset integrity and production continuity across the field.
The scope covers the full IMR lifecycle, including Xmas tree installation and intervention, jumper deployment and replacement, flying lead management, metrology surveys for pipeline positioning verification, subsea asset recovery, well marking and identification, and inspection and maintenance of subsea production systems. Operations have been supported by the Siem Marlin and African Vision vessels.
Maintaining continuous IRM operations on a producing deepwater field for more than 12 years requires consistent operational discipline, rigorous safety management, and strong technical expertise. During the Bonga engagement, Marine Platforms has completed 226 individual asset recovery operations, 38 metrology surveys, and 37 well-marking campaigns, supporting effective subsea asset management and field operations.
The long-term engagement demonstrates Marine Platforms’ ability to provide reliable, safe, and efficient IMR services throughout the lifecycle of a major deepwater development, while maintaining consistent operational performance across an evolving subsea asset base.
Since 2018, Marine Platforms has delivered continuous operations, inspection, maintenance and repair services across the Egina and Akpo fields, from 40 m shallow water to 1,500 m ultra-deep water. The portfolio spans tree and jumper operations, heavy lifts, SERS trials, decommissioning support and complex subsea interventions.
To date, the engagement has included 16 Xmas tree installations and interventions, 15 jumper deployments, three hydraulic and electrical flying leads, five metrology operations for subsea positioning verification, seven Subsea Control Module (SCM) changeouts, and seven choke changeouts.
Operations are executed in partnership with TotalEnergies using the African Vision vessel, with specialist tooling and ROV systems deployed for operations at ultra-deepwater depths of up to 1,500 m.
The Egina and Akpo OIMR engagement requires the execution of subsea operations across an exceptional 1,460 m range of water depths, from shallow-water locations at 40 m to ultra-deepwater operations at 1,500 m.
At 1,500 m, subsea interventions require specialist deepwater tooling, precision ROV operations, and detailed planning to manage the demanding pressure and environmental conditions. The seven SCM changeouts and seven choke changeouts demonstrate Marine Platforms’ experience in executing complex intervention activities at ultra-deepwater depths.
The engagement also incorporates SERS trials, heavy lift operations, and decommissioning support, demonstrating Marine Platforms’ ability to deliver a broad range of OIMR services across the lifecycle of major offshore assets.
Marine Platforms has supported the Agbami Field since 2009 with continuous inspection, maintenance and repair services at water depths of up to 1,500 m. The long-term scope covers the subsea lifecycle, from tree, jumper and flying-lead operations to flow assurance, manifold installation, control-module changeouts, acid injection and decommissioning support.
Over more than 15 years of continuous operations, Marine Platforms has delivered 20 Xmas tree operations, 18 jumper installations, 18 hydraulic and electrical flying leads, three manifold installations, 27 SCM changeouts, and 14 acid injection campaigns. The engagement is executed using the Siem Marlin and African Inspiration vessels, supported by specialist deepwater tooling and experienced offshore crews.
The Agbami IMR engagement represents more than 15 years of continuous subsea operations in a major deepwater producing field. Since 2009, Marine Platforms has progressively delivered a broad range of IMR activities, from Xmas tree and jumper operations to complex subsea interventions, including 27 SCM changeouts and 14 acid injection campaigns.
The three manifold installations added a significant subsea construction element to the wider IMR scope, requiring careful integration with ongoing field operations. Maintaining continuous support over such an extended period has required consistent operational discipline, specialist deepwater capability, and the ability to adapt execution strategies to evolving field requirements and subsea technology.
The longevity and breadth of the Agbami engagement demonstrate Marine Platforms’ capability to deliver safe, reliable, and technically demanding IMR services throughout the lifecycle of a deepwater offshore development.
