The award recognises the company’s offshore T&I delivery, zero LTI record and continued investment in marine and subsea capabilities.
LAGOS, NIGERIA — 16 October 2026 — Marine Platforms Limited has received a Vendor Recognition Award from FIRST E&P in recognition of its performance and significant contributions to the success of the company’s operations.
The award was presented at the FIRST E&P 2026 Vendors’ Day Forum, held on 15 October, where Marine Platforms was recognised for its role as a strategic offshore transportation and installation (T&I) contractor. The recognition highlights the company’s delivery on critical offshore projects, its safety performance and its continued investment in operational capabilities.
The achievement reinforces Marine Platforms’ commitment to providing reliable offshore services that support production activities and the evolving needs of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The forum also marked a moment of recognition for Marine Platforms’ leadership. Mr Taofik Adegbite, Chief Executive Officer of Marine Platforms Limited, delivered the keynote address at the event and received a Guest Speaker Appreciation Award in recognition of his valuable contribution to the success of the FIRST E&P 2026 Vendors’ Day.
His participation added another highlight to the occasion, which brought together vendors and industry stakeholders to recognise the contributions of partners supporting FIRST E&P’s operations.
Marine Platforms’ award followed a competitive assessment involving 14 nominated vendors. Each vendor was evaluated using a weighted 100-point framework, with the greatest emphasis on business criticality and performance, followed by safety and Goal Zero.
The supporting evidence was validated by FIRST E&P’s HSE team, evaluation panel, business owners, and SCM/Internal Audit.
Marine Platforms’ recognition was supported by three key areas of achievement.
1. Zero Lost-Time Injuries
Marine Platforms recorded zero lost-time injuries (LTI) since its registration with FIRST E&P, reflecting its commitment to Goal Zero and the importance placed on safe execution across its operations. The record represents a sustained focus on protecting personnel, managing operational risks and ensuring that safety remains a shared responsibility.
2. Delivery on Critical Offshore Projects
The company’s transportation and installation work on the SAL, FIGSS and AJ debottlenecking projects contributed to activities supporting production and the continuity of offshore operations. These projects demonstrate the importance of dependable marine logistics, technical execution and coordination in meeting offshore operational requirements.
3. Investment in Marine and Subsea Capabilities
The acquisition of African Pioneer, a saturation diving (SAT) support vessel, reflects Marine Platforms’ continued investment in capabilities for complex subsea and offshore operations. The vessel strengthens the company’s marine and diving support portfolio as it continues to develop its capacity to serve the needs of the offshore oil and gas sector.
Together, these achievements demonstrate the role of safety, technical capability and consistent service delivery in building strong working relationships with clients.
For Marine Platforms, the recognition is an important milestone in its ongoing work with FIRST E&P and reflects the value of consistent performance in a demanding operational environment.
As an indigenous Nigerian oil and gas services company, Marine Platforms provides services across marine operations, offshore transportation and installation, subsea solutions, well services and vessel chartering. Its work supports the delivery and maintenance of offshore assets, where safety, operational readiness and dependable execution are essential.
Continued investment in marine assets, technical expertise and subsea capabilities remains important to the company’s ambition to support increasingly complex offshore requirements while contributing to the growth of indigenous capacity in Nigeria’s energy sector.
Behind every successful offshore operation are people whose contributions extend far beyond the visible work. From personnel working offshore to the teams responsible for planning, coordination, maintenance and operational support onshore, the achievement reflects a collective commitment to getting the job done safely and effectively.
Marine Platforms acknowledges the dedication of its employees whose professionalism and teamwork continue to support its relationship with FIRST E&P and its wider operational objectives.
The company remains committed to upholding its safety standards, strengthening its technical capabilities and delivering quality services that meet the expectations of its clients.
The recognition reinforces the principle that continues to guide its work: Inspired to Do It Better.
