Toibat Lawanson

Toibat Lawanson studied Accounting at Lagos State Polytechnic. She enrolled for the professional examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in March 2008 and became an Associate Member in 2009. She is currently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).She holds an M.Sc. in Corporate Finance from the University of Liverpool and a Certificate in Strategic Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Toibat joined Marine Platforms Limited on 18 December 2009 and has progressed through various leadership roles to become General Manager, Finance & Accounts. In 2026, she was appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO), reflecting her extensive experience and significant contributions to the company’s financial management and strategic growth. She is currently pursuing certification as a Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Professional, further strengthening her expertise in financial strategy, planning, and performance management.
