Marine Platforms Partners With Saipem For Zabazaba Contract

Marine Platforms has partnered with Saipem contracting Nigeria for a greenfield construction contract on Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Zabazaba development, field one of Nigeria\’s deepwater developments. The service scope requires the Inspection Repair and Maintenance (IRM) services necessary for the realization of Saipem\’s engineering, procurement construction & installation (EPCI) activities. With the project set for the year 2021, Marine Platforms plans to utilize her locally owned multi-purpose vessels, the African inspiration, and the African Vision. Discovered in 2005 and 2006, the Zabazaba and Etan integrated development project is a greenfield hydrocarbon development with an offshore license block covering an area of 1,958 km2. The block is located at a distance of 140km from the Nigerian coast with water depths ranging from 1,200 to 2,400m. The PSA for the block is between NAE (50%) and SNEPCo (50%), where NAE is the Operator.
