Running the engineering and project management in-house in Nigeria and going into the field to manage the project. Marine Platforms has recruited several Nigerians to gain experience on this project. Currently, there are 10 local subsea engineers and about 20 marine cadets who will be gaining first-hand practical knowledge and skill\”.

Describing it as another major feat for local content, Adegbite said that this is a major achievement in local content development, especially at this time in the oil and gas industry. It further cements Chevron as a major player supporting indigenous capacity building by having confidence in Marine Platforms capacity to execute this job. Before this project, Marine Platforms gained brownfield construction experience alongside her technical partner, CEONA during the successful execution of ABO phase 3, 8 and 12 loadout, transportation, installation and pre-commissioning of Eni Nigeria Agip Exploration\’s subsea flowlines, jumpers, umbilicals, and manifolds in 2014.
