Marine Platforms Achieves 2 Million Man-hours Without Lost Time Incidents

Marine Platforms has hit a 2 million manhour without lost time incident record on its Agbami field service operations for Stardeep Water Nigeria Limited. After almost a decade of creating value on the Chevron Stardeep Agbami field, this significant and remarkable milestone was achieved in March 2018, during which there have been no recordable cases of lost time incidents on its chartered or owned vessels.

In the current challenging exploration and production operations field, Marine platforms began its work scope on the Agbami field in march 2009 offering Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance (IRM) services. During this time, MPL grew a robust operational track record and saw the installation of several Xmas trees, jumpers and varying subsea equipment across the 42 wells on the Agbami field.

MPL also delivered subsea tieback operations during the Agbami Phase 3 development campaign in 2016. The scope centered on the Transportation, Installation, and Pre-commissioning (TIP) of flexible flowlines, jumpers, umbilicals, and manifolds. Besides this impact on the companyâs financial growth that gave way to asset development, our operations have paved way for the training and development of 10 subsea engineers, over 30 Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) pilot technicians and supervisors as well as 20 marine cadets.

The Chief Executive Officer of Marine Platforms, Taofik Adegbite, said âFrom inception, we have placed a special focus on delivering quality services safely. We have also implemented several initiatives to manage and improve the safety of our employees and stakeholders in all our offices and operational sites. With one of our core values being safety in all aspects of our work, this outstanding achievement represents a confirmation of our exceptional working tradition as spelled out in the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications and policies which Marine Platforms adheres toâ.
