Chevron MEJI Flexible Pipes TIP & Pre-Commissioning – Successfully Delivered
Lagos, Nigeria – 2019 – Marine Platforms Limited is proud to have supported the successful execution of the Chevron MEJI Flexible Pipes TIP & Pre-Commissioning Project, a critical shallow-water infrastructure upgrade delivered between 2018 and 2019 in the Meji field, offshore Nigeria.
The project was executed in water depths ranging from 5.6 to 10.5 meters, using a combination of marine assets including MV Blueship, Jack-up Barge INEZ, and Jack-up Barge Oil Fish.
Scope Highlights
– Design, fabrication, and installation of subsea clamps and hang-off clamps with anodes
– Loadout and transportation of critical pipeline infrastructure (CPIs) from Europe to Nigeria
– Transportation and installation (T&I) of flexible pipes with Uraducts
– Installation of:
• 4” Riser/Flowline from Meji Jkt-20 to Meji GGCP – 1.62 km
• 4” Riser/Flowline from Meji Jkt-03 to Meji Jkt-13 – 1.64 km
• 4” Riser/Flowline from Meji Jkt-02 to Meji Jkt-22 – 0.82 km
• 6” Riser/Flowline from Meji Jkt-20 to Meji RP – 2.04 km
– Deployment of concrete mattresses for protection and support
– Pre-commissioning of all flexible flowlines
MPL played a pivotal role in delivering this project safely and successfully, contributing marine engineering expertise, project management, and integrated subsea solutions to ensure optimal performance and long-term reliability.
