North Ocean 102 Commences Offshore Operations in Agbami Field

We are pleased to announce that the North Ocean 102 (NO102) has sailed offshore and successfully commenced operations in the Agbami field, marking a key milestone in the execution of the Agbami WMC Flowlines Replacement Project for Star Deep Petroleum Limited (Chevron).

This follows the vessel’s successful mobilisation at Eko Support Terminal, Lagos, where, in the late hours of Saturday, June 9th at 11:00 PM, North Ocean 102, a McDermott-owned and NCDMB-approved vessel, chartered by Marine Platforms, berthed and began critical mobilisation activities. The approval from the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) further reflects compliance with local content requirements and Marine Platforms’ ongoing commitment to aligning with Local Content Directives.

Mobilisation progressed with sea fastening and deck preparation, spotting and loading of project equipment, integration of ROV tooling, and initial fittings at the tower location. During this period, Star Deep representatives and Chevron marine inspectors were onboard to oversee pre-deployment inspections and ensure operational readiness. With mobilisation now safely and efficiently concluded, the vessel has transitioned into full offshore execution.

We commend all project teams, partners, and onboard crew for their professionalism, coordination, and continued dedication as operations advance.
